Bozankaya, which produced Turkey’s first domestic 100% electric bus and won all of the 8 electric bus tenders, started to deliver the 18-meter, single-articulated models of the new generation electric bus SILEO to the Municipality of Elazig.
Elazig deliveries of the 100% electric bus SILEO, whose R&D studies and production were carried out in Turkey, have started. Bozankaya won the tender opened by EBUAŞ, a subsidiary of Elazig Municipality, in 2017, and brought Turkey’s first 18-meter single-articulated electric bus to the people of Elazig. A total of 15 vehicles will be delivered to Elazig Municipality in 2018 from SILEO electric buses, which open the doors of quieter, more environmentally friendly and more comfortable transportation.
The environmentally friendly new generation electric bus SILEO, which is among the “Solution Plans for Brand City Elazig” of Elazig Mayor Mücahit Yanılmaz, will ease the urban transportation of Elazig.
Murat Bozankaya stated that they delivered 6 vehicles to Elazig; “Our electric bus is 18 meters long and has a capacity of 150 passengers. It can travel 400 kilometers on a 4-hour charge and consumes 10 cents of electricity per kilometer. The people of Elazig will also be able to benefit from comfortable, quiet and environmentally friendly transportation from now on.
