Bozankaya is preparing to send its high-tech and low-energy trams to Kocaeli. Trams, which are completely domestically designed and produced, stand out with their 100% low-floor characteristics. The vehicles that will serve in Izmit will be produced specifically for the city’s general appearance and living conditions.

Domestic design and production, high technology

The length of the 100% low-floor trams, designed and produced entirely by Turkish engineers, is 33 meters. Since the vehicles will operate on the double-track tram line, they will be vehicles with a driver’s cabin in both directions, bidirectional, and capable of reversing at a limited speed from both directions. The vehicles are aimed to be produced in accordance with national and international standards in terms of emission and noise level, with low energy consumption, least affected by environmental conditions, long-lasting in terms of materials and equipment used, modern appearance, contemporary living conditions, latest technological developments and urban aesthetics.

Efficient and low cost

The trams, where a total of 298 people can travel, will have a sitting passenger capacity of 66 and a standing passenger capacity of 232. The structure of the vehicles designed in accordance with the latest technological developments will be produced in a way that minimizes maintenance and repair costs. All parts of the vehicle, especially those that require periodic maintenance, will be modular for easy replacement in a minimum of time.

Trams will be used in Izmit

Trams, a turnkey transportation system, will be used in Izmit. The tram fleet consisting of a total of 10 vehicles, specially produced for Izmit, will be designed taking into account the historical texture of the city.
