Bozankaya, Turkey’s first rail vehicle exporter, will manufacture 16 100% low-floor trams for the Romanian city of Iaşi.

Bozankaya, which designs and manufactures electric commercial vehicles and rail system vehicles in Ankara, won the 16-car tram tender opened by the Romanian city of Iaşi. The contract period is 34 months in the tender where the first deliveries will start within 18 months from the signing of the contract.

The new Iaşi trams to be produced by Bozankaya within the scope of this tender will be 30 meters long, with 5 modules and a capacity of approximately 270 passengers. These trams, which will have a maximum speed of 70 km / h, will provide great convenience in passenger boarding and boarding thanks to their 100% low-floor design.

With this project, Bozankaya will provide approximately 30 Million Euros of foreign currency inflow to Turkey.

Iaşi was the second tender won in Romania after Timișoara. The tenders for 100 electric buses and 100 trolleybuses offered by Bozankaya in Bucharest are expected to be concluded soon.
