Bozankaya Battery-Powered Trolleybuses will start operating in the most touristic region of Şanlıurfa, which has a special place in world tourism with its historical richness and cultural heritage.
The first 2 of the fleet of 12 vehicles were delivered to Şanlıurfa Municipality. Specially produced in accordance with the needs of the city, these 18-meter-long trolleybuses which can reach a maximum range of 50 km with their batteries without being connected to the catenary line, can also reach an unlimited range thanks to their batteries that can be charged on the go.
In addition, the power supply, catenary line, control, signaling, communication equipment, and administrative building are also being completed to be delivered to Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality.
Bozankaya Battery-Powered Trolleybuses, all of which will start operating in 2023, will carry an average of 95 thousand passengers per day across a 7.4-kilometer long Balıklıgöl route.
